If most electronic components are nowadays built on a scale of a millionth of a meter (micro = 10^-6 m), the solutions proposed by us are based on materials properties mostly obtainable on a billionth of a meter (nano = 10^-9 m) quite often through so-called ‘nanodots’. These tiny entities can form larger building blocks that provide unique solutions to old problems, creating the newly emerged field of nanotechnologies. The product focus of NanoDotTek is the development of novel and innovative devices relying on nanoscale structures. These devices are part of a new generation of embedded electronic components based on magnetic phenomena that manifest themselves on these 10^-9 m scales, offering better performance than similar traditional electronic components.
